February 5, 2011 – Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), a long standing customer of Whitecap has awarded a new project to Whitecap to "discover and redesign" the society’s all-important “Smokers' Helpline” software application by way of Whitecap's eRAD (e-Business Requirements Analysis & Design) process of discovery & design.   

The Canadian Cancer Society Smokers' Helpline is a free, confidential service you can either call for easy access to a trained Quit Coach (cessation specialists), or access online as an interactive, web-based service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week offering tips, tools and support to help a person quit smoking. The online community also available via the web enables you to share your experiences, gain inspiration and support from others to help you through your quit.

Whitecap Canada Inc. is honoured to have worked with the leadership team at Smokers' Helpline for over five years now. The software which is the basis of the support service, was not originally developed by Whitecap, but has been supported and enhanced by Whitecap since our relationship with CCS began back in 2005.

Through that period the service has grown and countless people have quit smoking aided by this invaluable resource.

So much has been learned over the years and the dedicated leadership team at Smokers' Helpline is committed to incorporating all of their knowledge and learning’s into the next generation of the software in an effort to continue to improve an already excellent and exceptional service.
