We will go to extreme lengths to ensure that our customers are very happy with the work we do for them. And we never take our customers for granted! We believe we must earn their trust and respect each and every day, with each and every engagement.

Lastly, there is no better feeling in the world than working with people you really enjoy, working on projects that are both interesting and challenging. Whitecap is certainly blessed in that way. We have tried very hard to develop an environment at Whitecap that is professional, committed, focused and dedicated, yet also friendly, fun, relaxed and family-oriented.
It is our people that make Whitecap the great company that it is. It starts with hiring practices. We look beyond knowledge, experience, skills and motivation when hiring our staff. There are many, many talented people out there with excellent skills and experience. But what we look for are people that can work as part of a team, people that are generally likeable, people that care about others and have a value system consistent with the spirit of Whitecap.
As previously discussed our customers are at the centre of everything we do. It is really important to Whitecap that our people can work directly with our customers and that most importantly, our customers feel really good about the people they are working with here at Whitecap.

Quality
As technology specialists, software designers and developers, we really LOVE what we do! It is so enjoyable to come to work each day and be challenged, as well as rewarded through the work that we do on behalf of our customers.
We are proud of the work that we do. As a service company, our reputation means everything! It defines who we are, how we do our jobs and whether or not we will be entrusted again to work on behalf of our customers. If we are to achieve our own goals for growth and success we can only do so by protecting and growing our installed base of loyal, satisfied customers.
The quality of our work is directly tied to repeat business in our customer base. Quality, besides giving us great satisfaction knowing that we did an excellent job and our very best work, is therefore paramount to our success. It is one of our greatest drivers and something we will not compromise on.
Process
To achieve the highest level of quality in our work (our key business driver), having proven, tested, well-defined processes for all that we do is an integral part of the quality outcome.
Well defined process is what enables us to get the job done in the highest quality manner, while doing so in the least amount of time, with the least amount of resource saving you the customer, the MOST amount of cost in your development projects.
For those of you who have ever been involved in poorly managed projects with poorly defined processes for design and execution, you will know first hand the pain that experience can bring to all involved. Project deadlines are missed, expectations fall significantly short and costs run out-of-control. No one enjoys that experience.
Well-defined and proven processes prevent confusion and ensure key deadlines are met. Most importantly, our customers know exactly what to expect throughout their project. The tools we use to manage all aspects of our projects are available to our customers from the beginning. These tools, together with our methodologies such as weekly project review meetings, provide our customers with first hand insights into their projects and they are able to gain an exact sense of how things are progressing.

Technology
Technology is fascinating! How lucky we are to be able to work in an area that is constantly changing and evolving. There is nothing more motivating and inspiring than to be able to come to work each day and utilize the latest software technologies to solve real customer problems. And of course we are only at the "tip of the iceberg". We fully expect to see continuous advances in software technologies forever in our lifetime.
Whitecap is fully committed to keeping current with the very latest in software technologies that could have implication for our customers. In fact it is a key and integral part of Dr. Michael Fattori’s job description here at Whitecap. As a co-founder of our company and in his role as Vice President, Technology & Development, Mike is responsible for ensuring that we thoroughly investigate advanced technologies relating to software development with a view to how these new technologies can be of use to our customers.

Giving Back
In business since 1997, Whitecap has enjoyed tremendous success throughout the years. The company is not publicly traded and therefore has no obligation to public shareholders to invest profits back into the company each year, solely for the purpose of greater and greater return on investment.
As such, Whitecap contributes and supports three different charitable organizations each year, which include The Canadian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association, Friends of The Orphans Canada and World Vision Canada. These three charities all have a focus on children and quality of life for the under privileged.
Built right into our budgets each year are charitable contributions commensurate with the size of our company. Management and equity partners at Whitecap strongly believe in the importance of reaching out and giving back for the purpose of helping those most in need, especially those most vulnerable.
Our children are our future. The only way that this world can move beyond the challenges that we all face, is if those who have, reach out and help those who have not.

Life is short. Why do something each and every working day that you don’t enjoy?
Balance and Living Each Day
Each day is precious. Time is precious, especially time with our loved ones and it is a gift not to be squandered.
It is vitally important that we never take for granted the gifts that lie before us, the gifts of love, family, friendship, health and of course time. Our hope for us all is that we are blessed with the wisdom to recognize the here and now, the truly important things in our lives and that we live for today as our children do, each and every day, with passion and reckless abandon.
The only way this can happen is if we maintain perspective and a strong balance in our life. This cannot and will not happen if all we focus on is work and career.
