When Miele decided to select a partner to help them with the evolution and enhancement of their existing web site (www.miele.ca
), Whitecap Canada Inc. was the natural choice. Miele was impressed with Whitecap’s strategic approach, flexibility, cost-effectiveness and demonstrated web expertise.
After first migrating an existing web site from Miele USA to Whitecap’s hosting environment, Whitecap developed a strategic and tactical plan to evolve Miele’s Canadian site over time in a phased approach. The first order of business was to execute a thorough audit of the existing site in order to correct any broken links and improve the overall quality of the site, and to perform a long-overdue update of the product content in order to make it current and Canadian.
The second priority was to upgrade the technical architecture of the site to make it much easier and less costly to maintain and enhance on an ongoing basis. The third phase involved the development of significant new functionality such as a dealer locator and “Mielehaus” section. And finally, phase four will involve the implementation of true e-Business functionality with distribution partners and end customers.
