King’s Plate

For the King’s Plate, Canada’s oldest continuously run horse race, we were tasked with refreshing its digital identity while staying true to the event’s sense of tradition and prestige. Our approach combined a refined palette of rich blues and golds with textured fabric-inspired backgrounds, creating a visual style that feels both luxurious and timeless. Every design choice reinforced the race’s place as a historical, cultural and sporting landmark.

The website not only highlights the grandeur of race day but also celebrates the broader community around it. Strong imagery, elegant typography, and thoughtful content organization help bring the history and energy of the event to life. Visitors can easily access information on ticketing, events, and race history while being immersed in an experience that reflects the King’s Plate’s elevated brand.

A standout feature is the Highlights section, where winners and key moments are presented in a highly creative, almost artistic format. Rather than just listing results, these pages honor the competitors and tell a visual story, turning achievements into celebrated digital showcases. This design approach sets the King’s Plate site apart from typical event pages, making it an engaging extension of the event itself.
